That is very nice insigna you have stored vibes! Good that you brought some history back with this restoration! In my means better to show a tunic like this than in pieces...
Now its only missing a Obergefreiter rank patch as its a little much medals for a Grenadier

Hi, also done ...
thats my feeling and Oppinion to, because the loops for three original Badges were indeed on this Tunic.
This is also the reason that I have sewn a Obergefreiter rank patch and a Krimshild.

normaly i am in German MFF Forum active also as vibes..
but I did not have enough time to be active in several forums and German Fieldbluse tunics are my specialty.
As well to sew restoration of tunics that I've taught in years of work.
One example more, here a sewn EM collartab from myself the EM collartab was a original new one and not sewn. I have aged him before , I would say that collectors dont would note it the holes from the old insignia with the needle and the felt blanket over???

Thank you for this thread. It is amazing what you have there.
Generally talking and not about you Vibes. With such workshops, skills and materials surely absolutely anything can be built and no one in the world would be able to tell when it was made for real. Wondering how many mint cheap greatcoats have already been transformed to rare exotic items and how many will!
I understand the objections quite well and I can understand them too.
Especially for young but also even for collectors with a lot of experience, it can be nearly impossible to detect subsequent changes. Of course, only it is a very very good job. I would also like a little show what is possible if one has the right materials and made in accordance with the experience and knowledge of how it should be.
I also have very much uniforms, but to 95% in original real condition.
I also didnĀ“t work for dealer or similar, I do it only if I get a bit of time where I see it a big challenge to restore a uniform like this in the Thread.
