    Question for overcoat parts

    Hello gents,

I need your helps. Could you let me know the purpose of these parts inside of M36 overcoat?

    parts

The slits that are leather reinforced are for the belt hooks on the tunic to pass through, the button is for when the overcoat is first closed, right to left, you button it first then close and button all six on the left side. Make sense? Hope so. DL

The later overcoats, as far as I rember have only one pair of slits in the back.

Belt hooks; the same hooks which were used with internal suspenders ( which were passing in liner slits of jacket) and through holes in jacket, which were used for suspending belt .

Thanks again. OK, I understood the slits with lather reinforced are used for Belt hooks. Then how about the others right side of them? I thought they are for drawing code however I am not confident at all.

How many are there? One on the left side of the coat? If there is only one it may be for a saber/sword hanger but those are normally horizontal and under the pocket flap.

There are two slits as you can see below in the white circles.

Those are the slits for the belt hooks to go through...just like on HBT wrappers.

I have no idea on the other slits that are closer together and leather reenforced. I suspect some special purpose.
