    Odd Style Collar Litzen

I have never seen another example of Collar Litzen like this, and was wondering if someone could shed some light on it.

It is like the woven EM/NCO Collar Litzen (same size, as shown in second picture), except it is metallic thread instead of gray Rayon. Too small to be metallic dress Collar Tabs (picture above i photo #2, for size comparison).

It doesn't have the loosely woven threads to facilitate "stepping down" the edges when sewing it on.

The Waffenfarb is black, but under a strong light, it is very dark blue - far too dark to be considered medical, so to me they are pioneer tabs.

    Greetings All,

The silve ones with black stripes are a police organization. The plin metal ones with the long hole in the middle are a Heer generic dress collar tab that was mounted on the color clothof the assigned branch. The tab mounted on dark green wool is a standard early TR signal tab.

Well, Fred, I never would have guessed that, but now that you point it out, it explains the police style very dark blue.

Were they ever worn without a backing, or are these unfinished, unmounted tabs?

        Greetings All,

Don, I am unsue of which Police orgnazation they belong to or how they were worn.
Here are some different finished examples of the unfinished tab that you have and another variation with the color woven in.

It is Reichsbahnschutz. I found a thread which discusses them
