Very odd set of pz gren boards... extremely late war?

Part of me wants to hate them for being so simplistic but part of me just seems to really dig them. Love to hear your thoughts on these guys. The one board is really odd, never seen another like it. Matt

They just seem so simplistic and not quite what I would expect. Obviously recycled wool if good but just and odd set worthy of posting and talking about in my opinion. Matt

Well...we know the piping is real, the boards appear old and used, or at least on a tunic for a while. Are the buttonholes the "cut after" type? I can't quite tell in the photos.
