this is an m40 variant ?
It is M40 converted by NCO to M36 ( to look more distinctive ).

Collar tabs look more mid- to late-war to me.
Generic tabs of the 1938 type are far less subdued in style.
Nice M36 or M40 tunic with replaced collar. Privately purchased walking-out tunic, probably kept in wardrobe for 70 years.
Is the eagle of the greyish, more subdued style?

              Greetings,

              L

eagle is white on green material (maybe not so white, but closer is to white colour than to grey)

I have mid to late war tabs and they are just grey (take a look on photo of my m43 hbt jacke)
                - these tabs are green and grey mixture

those are mid-late tabs Frozzer IMHO, earlier generic ones would have more "vibrant" colors to it....
