I'm not sure what "the chambers" is? I do not claim my wrap is an issue piece at all....quite the opposite.

The wrap I have is a private purchase wrap made by an obscure Bavarian maker who made other private purchase panzer items including hats. The maker is known to those who have, or had items made by this particular clothing factory.

Apparently one panzer pioneer, or his family had the money to have his uniform custom made with factory style panzer pioneer piping.

Hi Richard, Andi is directly translating "Kammerstucke" to "Chambers", Kammerstucke refers to issue clothing from depots, coming directly from factories.

          Johnny,

          Thank you very much.

A number of the nicer tunics (wraps) I see do not have depot marks, and many carry the manufacturers name. They are sometimes small firms and are usually made of higher quality materials and sewing standards indicative of a private or direct from maker purchase.

            Richard,
Standard officer tunics were made in large number of private tailors. Higher officers also received coupons to be able to dress privately. These uniforms were always fine in quality but also in various style. Private produced panzer wraps are known in small numbers.
It also has a reason: panzer wraps were working suits and had strong stress inside a tank.
Therefore are Panzer wraps also for Officers mostly available as Kammerstücke.

              Hi Andi,

Most of the wraps I'm referring to were probably "closet queens," meaning they were probably dress, or walking out dress wraps...not combat pieces. Most also probably never saw the inside of a tank.
