    Fieldphotograph Camo

This fieldphotograph is one of my favourite. Hard to tell why but it looks like a perfect shot. I wanted to share this photograph with you due the different kinds of uniforms and equipment in wear.

On the complete left of the photograph you can see a non-military (?) blanket, his boots, Red cross armband, his breast eagle is very hard to see or there is none WH beast eagle at all? He also wears a helmet with a helmtarnüberzug. On his back a tornister?

Next to him - in the middle - you can see the doctor wearing a tropical uniform with socks over his shoes? He also holds in his left hand his helmet with a helmtarnüberzug over it. The officer next to him seems to wear a tropical hat and a normal WH uniform.

Behind the officer (right of him) wearing the EK 1 a soldier wears a camo jacket without breast eagle and only shoulderboards over his normal uniform? He also holds his helmet with a helmtarnüberzug over it.

If anyone would like to see better scans or close-ups, just ask I would happy to share it with you.

Very nice field shot; not your regular kind of propaganda photo. Their expression is almost of "modern times".
Always nice to see the different styles worn, the field made camo tunic is a screamer!
    Thanks for posting.

At least 2 of them are medics. The most intresting thing is that the guy in middle is NCO and has officers cap. Looks almost like modern photo.

Medic officer candidate (notice that he's wearing officer collar tabs too), they were authorized to wear officer insignia.

What are the boots of the medic with the helmet ? Russian ?

Seems like the bearded officer candidate has his side weapon wrapped in cloth inside the holster!
At first glance I thought it was a reenactor picture

just spotted another interesting thing ; guy in the back seems to wear FJ boots ( very tall shaft laced up boots ) but it could also putties as the guy in the left wear.

Or US two buckle boots, I am not a believer that this is period yet. It to me looks modern as well. Where is it from? An album or was it a loose image on EBAY etc.?

It almost looks like the guy in the sweater has his trousers bloused in a US airborne fashion.

It is a small photograph. I bought it - sadly - from ebay - as it looked good on a small scan. I already I thought it looked too good to be true but as he offered other medical photographs I thought to be safe (that it belonged together). Maybe the photograph was to good to be true but in the inside I still hope it was not - as this would have been a killer medical shot .

Thanks for the help already ! As Thorsten says it Every day is a good day on Waf

So the photo paper is incorrect too? What a bummer !

Intriguing isn't it, that the biggest give away in this case are the faces, the looks, their attitude... that's something that is evidently very difficult to capture. Except perhaps for the bearded guy, he has done a great job I think (next time better not carrying an ammo case though).
