    F.W. Assmann & Sohne Skull

    Hi Guys,

I found this skull, and compared it to an F.W. Assmann & Sohne Skulls Catalog #16460 , and I think it is an original. Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a Bunch.
    Agnes

Please compare the shape of the teeth. Not exactly the same like in the catalogue. Your skull looks like a nice issued Imperial skull. Worn by soldiers of the Imperial IR92 and HR17. Unusual is the position of the prongs. Normally they came with 2 or 3 prongs. The 3 prongs skulls had one prong on the head and one prong on the left bone and the other one on the right bone. The skulls with two prongs had normally one prong on the head and the other one in the middle of the bones.

Next skulls have broken prongs, but you can still see the "standard" positions of prongs on such skulls. First photo shows a skull with 2 prongs and the second photo shows a skull with 3 prongs. Your skull has both prongs on the head. I think it is an unusual variant. Unusual, but I like it!
