    Tin & Glass whiskey flask

    This is something else been had laying around for years years in my fathers room. Ive seen them on line before just don't know if they are war time or post war. Looks kinda neat but is very cheaply made. Your opinions welcome. Thanks Dan

      I don't see any problems. I am sure they fake everything, but I have seen one of these flasks faked....yet.

      The flask, cup and cord look like pre-war aluminum I have seen before.

      A number of years ago, I picked up one from a Vet but it had a different label on front and back and was not as nice as yours.

        Thanks for the reply & info Jeff, Were these used or were they just decoration like hung in the house some were. Like I said I tried looking it up on line there's just not a lot of info around. Anyway Thanks again Dan

            I guess you need to know exactly what the flask was called. Thanks Ron...look like they have a long history.

              They were little presents sometimes given by units or friends when someone when they finished their active service etc. Yours probably is from the 1930s before the War. "Parole Heimat" is sort of a joke in a way "Home Station" released from duty into reserves and going home etc.
