Fred and I have your back, one of us will keep it like it is. Preferrably me, but if I die then give Fred a shot at it! Matt

Indeed it is fairly uncommon to see a standard Heer tunic without breast eagle, I have seen it with SS tunics though missing the sleeve eagle.
...Maybe, maybe, maybe this tunic belonged to a member of the SS Polizei Division, prior to the moment in the beginning of '42 when they were given Waffen-SS insignia???
After all, the artillerie regiment was filled with former Heer personell. It is known that they used Heer shoulderboards, and although special collartabs existed (see photo) perhaps for some reason this one retained his former Heer tabs? Again, just a wild guess of course.Attached Files

Interesting that former Heer personnel were drafted into the SS-Polizei but as it also has 3 marked shoulder buttons did a number 3 regiment transfer? collars are attached like ive never seen before only being sewn by the 4 corners of the boards? not all the war around.
thanks for the info.

Another that I posted before
To save time I am just posting the previous post again. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=228710 .
As I said in it.....the boards didn't come with it, I just stuck them on there....don't know what they are. They are not on there now. They were taken off before it was packed away.
Ron
P.S. Sorry......I forgot this was Heer uniforms, and this isn't. Remove it if you want.

It already had one. I posted it before here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=228508 . I have never photographed the sports documents, and all of the stuff including the tunic are packed away. It is not for sale.
Thanks,
Ron

Don't believe it is an EM upgrade though such as you imply; these summer field made tunics are mostly made for NCO or officer ranks and this is a particular officer design incl. the French cuffs. The fact that the collar shows previous EM tabs could simply be due to the fact that the tailor used an EM collar, which this is.
