    Interesting tropical photo!

Won this on ebay today, along with a few others. There were more, but I was outbid.

This picture of a 'band' with the DAK logo on the jerry can drum is the pick of the lot to me.

If anyone knows of this event and can tell me the unit or any information?

    Thanks,

    Jerry

Also won these two, one showing the band and an officer that looks a bit like Hauptman/Major Bach of 104th regt, 21st Panzer div, though it is probably not him.

The second shows some officers, and the officer with his back to the camera, at the head of the table looks a bit like Rommel, but again, is probably not him.

Interesting pics, IMO whoever they are. There were more that I did not win, which showed a pig, which made me think it might be 2/33 PzArt rgt 33, 15th Panzer div.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

Here are two that I did not win, but one shows the officer a bit more clearly and the other shows one of the band along with the pig.

Hi why would the pigs make you think it is AR 33? The commander was Eduard Crassmann-

To me it looks like they were pulled back from fighting or there was a lull and they took advantage of it to do some R&R activities and screw around.

          Jerry,
Great images. You are right - not Bach or Rommel.
          Nice pick-ups.

Because they 'famously' were given a pig which was washed away in a flood. There are pictures in Dal McGuirk's 'Rommel's Army in Africa'.
