    Hi Frank,
i think that the real m34 is the one with fieldgray badge cloth collar; The tunic you posted has the green bottle badge collar so i would not call properly m34...
    By the way, nice grouping!

This fieldgray badge cloth collar is the so called 'Resedagrün' ('Reseda'-green)
        badge cloth collar.

I will post a photo tonight when i'm back home.

              Hi Frank,

As I understand, the M34's difference is the lining. The reseda-green is a variation of the M34, but I did not know it to be the standard.

                Thanks, Frank

The '34 dated tunic that Frank has pictured is the first new pattern Heer Feldbluse where the collar and shoulder straps were constructed from the same material as the tunic itself. Later models of the Feldbluse featured collar facings and shoulder straps of "badge cloth", first in Feldgrau (1935) and later (1936) in dark green. Certain internal modifications occured during this period as well.

The '34 dated tunic you are referring to is a M33 and is dated '34. The reader should understand also that the dates of the tunics shown do not reflect the model. For example :

the '34 dated pioneer tunic is a model "M33"

the '35 dated smoke troop tunic is a model "M34"

the '36 dated infantry tunic is a model "M35"

the '39 dated generic tunic is a model "M36"

                    Thanks, Frank

                      Hi friends,
i use to define the several models of the tunics basing the study of the orders pubblished on the HM (
                      HM-Allgemeine Heeresmitteilungen)/HV (Heeres Verordnungsblatt).
So, the order HM 34, N° 136 (December 10th 1934) describe the passage between the Feldgrau cloth (fabric) collar and the Feldgrau badge collar. This is the most important feature who issued the Field tunic on the transition between the m33 and m34.

                      The order "
HV 35, N° 505" (September 10th 1935), describe the passage of the color of the collar badge who finally became green bottle.

                      Reassuming:
                      m33 feldgrau cloth collar
                      m34 feldgrau badge collar
m35 the green bottle badge collar
m36 the definitive internal lining shape
These are the most important features who issued the Field tunics from m33 and m36 (IMO).
