2 RKT Uniforms of Willi Wechsung

I was asked to show some pics of my RKT tunics and here they are.

Both belong to RKT Hauptmann Willi Wechsung, chief 1. / G.R. 426

RK on 01.10.1943
DKiG on 26.06.1942

other awards are wound badge gold for 12 times wounded !! IAB silver, EK1 + EK2, east medal and long service award IV class.

He won the RK at the Ladogasee for defeating a russian attack with a small group of men + destroying a russian Battalionsstab.

Interesting is that on both tunics the last upper button is missing (to protect the KC before scratches)

The tunic old style was his walking out tunic at home.

The combat tunic is a dutch tailored light summer tunic, sadly the name on the tag was removed ;(

But on the pics you can see, that it is exactly the tunic ! You can also see the pocket flaps which are sewn to the tunic (you can't open the flaps) Also the lopps for the awards are exactly the same.

Here's the light summer tunic, sadly without any insignia. I have some new ones, so I only have to sew them on

Here is a detailed shot of the tunic in the picture with the already mentioned sewn flaps and award loops.

I do not have his original awards but know where they are, together with his visior, GC document and some other things. All items are in collector hands.
There are no hooks under the collars so he wore his RK in this way (this is my K&Q 65 RK)

Still searching for his Soldbuch, Wehrpaß, KC document and other documents. Hope to find them anytime.

Thank you for showing the tunics, a real piece of history. The missing button is a feature I have seen in other RKT tunics.
I hope you will be able to collect also the other items one day..

The other items are in the collections of friends ...so they aren't lost. Hope to get them some day with money arguments Especially his visior cap !!

You're right and I would do it if there isn't the problem with the money There are 2 RKs, 2 DKiGs, little DKiG document, visoir cap and some other awards which I know where they are. That's a lot of bugs

I've heard that his other documents like RK document, Soldbuch etc were given away a long time ago. I hope I will find them sometime. Maybe someone of you know where they are ...
