KM Tropical Shoulder Board Opinions

I picked these up some time ago off ebay, now I am wondering if they are repop:

They look wrong to me, with the blue trop tress in a form I have not seen for Km trop tress before and the fabrics look wrong.

Cloth, construction, tresse... everything on this boards is wrong. They are sometimes to get on German ebay for less money.

Here is one from my collection for comparison. I'm sure you'll see the differences.

thanks for your input, vinzenz and vonBond. i understand the problem with the tresse, but is it possible that there are just not enough examples of these floating around to know that this tresse is not legit? as far as the construction and the material, i would appreciate further enlightenment on the faults. to me it looks like the same orangy-tan twill fabric that was used on the KM tropical tunics I have seen, certainly the color is better than that on your shoulder board, vinzenz. and as far as construction, different manufacturers make the same things with slight variations.

finally, one of the biggest reasons i like these is that i cannot find anywhere on the internet anyone selling reproductions of these, or even the blue tresse, nor can i find where anyone has ever made reproductions of these. if its fake, its well done, what is the point if not to retail?
