For "Field and Service Dress" tunic buttons were to be painted. You occasionally see silver dress buttons used on service tunics most almost all of the time they are Field grey like these.

sounds right, johnny. this one's a service tunic so gray seems indicated....

My studio photog friend earl used 2 lights with soft boxes powered by a big battery and seamless paper rolled down, with a pocket wizard in the hot shoe. His camera is a pro model nikon. Cheers and glad ya like the tunic!

Hello,thanks for the info looks like I need some more lights,don't know what a pocket wizard is maybe a small flash on the hot shoe? Still a lovely tunic very subtle and subdued butvery handsome,still amazed at the amount of different and varied tunics from the days of the Third Reich.Cheers David.
