Hello,may I present my last Waffenrock purchase. Probably my nicest rock plus it has the extra rings of the Spiess, nice padded collar tabs, extra padding has been added inside on the chest area and a nice reinforcement piece around the sabre slit.It also has two pockets in the rear skirt,no markings on the inside though and yes it smells like the previous owner had worn it very recently,no wonder my room smells so much with all these old tunics! Still after a Panzer rock and a rock that is named and with a tailers label. There was a Panzer Waffenrock for sale at the recent Stoneleigh Militaria show at £850 a bit pricey especially as it had been fed to the moths! Regards David.

It may be just another nice Arty waffenrock but the quality photography perception maximize's it's appeal greatly. That's what makes it really stand out.
A very astounding example.
BTW; is that a horizontal corded slit in the area of the bottom left front panel for perhaps an edged weapon hanger? Iv'e never seen one as unique for that matter. If in fact so, that sets this one apart somewhat.
*** I just proof read you dialogue. Now I'm clear with my last question but nevertheless, a great key point of discussion though.

That slit is a Sabelschlitz which is for a hanger to mount an NCO sword. It had a clip and was worn suspended by the trouser belt or sometimes a shoulder sling. Nice Rock.Originally posted by CIB View PostComment

I've been trying to emulate some of the excellent photography here on the forum using the tips in the post " How to photograph your collection" which has been very helpful, I don't think I'm quite there yet maybe some more lights and of a different type.I think my pics tend to make the rock look better than it actually is but it still a very nice rock and the best of the few that I have. Hi Lewis,I took the picture against one of the walls in my house which is cream in colour then using my Corel Paint Shop program I used the flood fill in white and filled in the smaller bits with the colured pencil tool. Yes the litzen are definately padded and also the cuff tabs as well,looks like he spent some extra money to upgrade this tunic a little.
