I also have a French Army shirt that has this stamp on a tropical display.

          Greetings All,

I can't comment on the coat, all I have seen are the markings which appear to be French IMO.

I have seen stamps like that before as well and I also think they are French. You see a lot of them in Coastal Artillery uniforms.

There is a jacket on Estand that is French made with similar stamps-

No doubt German in design. The reason for the stamp is a mystery to me.

                  Thanks for the photos.

                    Indeed appears to be a French made German overcoat with French stamp, always circular in design, as is this one;
                    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ht=nskk+french

If we can get a better close up shot of the stamp we can read it (translate it).
If its not French the other explanation; it might be a museum or theatrical property stamp.

                        Greetings All,

It appears to be a brown shade on my monitor. French made DAK overcoat? or is it a field grey?

                            Hello
Yes, the French were occupied !!! making bread and cheese, while France was occupied .
The coat is original and yes, made in occupied France by and for the Germans.
These coat are always found to be KM, any evidence that the buttons were replaced?
                            Regards

I have had the same coat with the same markings.

It's a German, French made, Kriegsmarine overcoat.

Only my coat had brass KM buttons... Are the buttons
                              on your coat replaced?
