I have asked on the Axis history forum but haven't got much response, so I am asking here.
How common were these coveralls? They appear to be Feldgrau HBT and the guy on the left's coveral seems to be grafted on to a HBT feldbluse. It has obviously had a visit to the kompanie tailor. The guy on the right has a single piece one with a different button pattern.
Also interesting is the two standard collar tabs and one Panzer one.
Any ideas on what causes the fading down the front only? It doesn't look like it could be just work related contact, as it seems to be too uniform. It almost looks like the acid wash jeans they sell these days.
