    Breast Eagle

I would appreciate your opinions on this eagle and the stitching. Does the stitching look original, or is it a resewn eagle?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ralph.

These types of eagles are often mounted onto a badge cloth backing like this, straight stitching is more common but you see zig as well. I would suspect it is original

I have two 1st pattern and a 2nd pattern like yours and all are mounted on cloth, and though the stitching is a bit different, I would agree with Johnny that yours is original.

            Many thanks for your comments!
I felt it was good when I first picked it up, but after looking at it later, I was not so sure.
            Thanks again,
            Ralph.

Ive got a crusher on the way that has almost that identical color of thread used to attach the wreath and eagle. Great bird for sure. Matt
