HBT tunic with printed breast eagle

    Hi All,
Please, would like some opinions on my HBT tunic with printed breast eagle. I'll try to get more pictures but for now does this one look good? How about the shoulder boards?
    Thank you,
    Rodney

      Greetings All,

The eagle on this jacket does not conform to the standard Heer 3 color late war enlisted printed eagle pattern. Notice that it is only 2 colors.
I won't say its bad but I don't like it!

              Hi Fred,
You posted on 6/11/2010: "Late War Heer printed Breast Eagle", a pair of printed breast eagles printed on a piece of cloth. I compared it side by side and it looks exactly alike. The one on my tunic is just worn and faded. I took Alexandre's advice and searched for other printed breast eagles and the three colored printed breast eagle you mentioned were sewn in a triangle configuration and on m44 tunics.
              Thanks,
              Rodney

                Greetings Rodney,

Now with a close up shot I can see the 3 colors! That is a nice original eagle!! It looks to have good honest wear on it too.

                  Thanks Fred!!!
I really was worried when you didn't like it. I picked this up at Mohawk Arms Inc. when they first changed over to an auction mail order catalog in the 80's. Man, Mohawk Arms had some neat stuff back then, still have a few catalogs laying around and wished I picked up more as price was not like it is now!.

Very interesting. I don't remember ever having seen a printed eagle on HBT before. Thanks for posting.

Very nice with late war printed breast eagle 100% original and period applied + nice Pz Gren. M44 shoulderstraps.
Does not get any better than that!
                      Congrats!

                        Thanks Mike and Nick,
The printed breast eagle was one of my main concern back in the 80's when I won this on Mohawk Arms Auction catalog. I'm glad you guys like it, which makes me feel a lot better knowing it's 100% original.
