    Luftwaffe General collar tabs genuine?

    Hi,

I found these Luftwaffe Generalmajor tabs. Front looks fine IMO, but I would be glad for more opinions.

Sorry, no pic from the reverse, they are still in the wrap back to back.

Tanks in advance and have a nice weekend,
    Steve

Edit: Sorry, problems with picture upload. Will try again next week, as I have to leave now.

RamJet - These are hard to tell without having them in hand. Personally, I'm not attracted to this set. The bullion work looks too loose to me and there is no sign of toning at all (which they still should have a bit of, even in cellophane).

Thats exactly what I thought when I first saw this set. But I am far from beeing an LW expert. Just my feeling says....
I am sure a photo of the reverse would help alot to say more though!

All LW general insignias, from this offer, are original

I am no expert, but I am on the fence based upon these photos. I would like to see the reverse of the tabs. Are they sealed inside of the packet? If not, it would be great to see them without the glare of the wrapper.

I do not see a particular trait that damns them.

                  Hi,

Just an observation....in the dozen pair of cellophaned tabs I have, ALL are cellophaned together in the same packet back to back. I have not seen tabs cellophaned individually.

How does Mister X know that the other insignia is original? Are they listed on a site or has he seen them?

They are sealed back to back. You see two pics in my post side by side.

                      Hi,

I see, I guess I should have read your post closer.

As for the tabs I am on the fence on these, the workmanship is ok but there is somethign about them. Is there more to this story as Mister X indicated the rest of the insignia was fine?
