Volkssturm armband opinions please

Hi Guys,

I want to put this nice volkssturm armband on e-stand. I have no idea what kind of price to attach to it. It was a gift a couple of years ago and not my collecting interest.

Any help is appriciated.

Not original, in my opinion.

The stamp/mark on the back is a big red flag!
The ones I consider as original show roughly the front printing coming a bit through the material, sort of ghost image. (hope this makes sence)
I also don't like them on heavy cotton.

Have to agree with the others here, not like the originals I've seen.

Too bad really, as the construction on this one is actually better than originals, which I always thought were cheap looking and poorly done.

Hi When it come to these they are easly faked. I have to dis agree on this one though. The reason you dont see the normal bleed through is that this one has an additional cloth backing. Not a normal thing to see on these.But it could happen.Have you UV tested it?Just because an item isnt text book doent make it bad. Best regards.

I don't believe this one has an additional backing (it's the fraying) , but even if, the stamp doesn't make sence at all and makes this one an easily to spot fake.
Ges. Gesch. on a volkssturm armband? And the large eagle, for what?

Hello It may not have a backing. I was just trying to point out that just because that an item isnt text book it is bad.So many collectors now think oh it has an extra stamp.Its a fake some one put it on there to raise the value.Granted it does happen. But you cant go on that alone.There are many original items out there that have many stamps on them.Best regards.

In general I agree! and that's the sport; to find original "off the norm" items!

But unfortunally not this armband.
