    Odd LW boards and tabs

Thought I'd like to put up some collar tabs and shoulder boards from the more obscure Luftwaffe organizations. The first picture is some examples from the Corps of Engineers and Navigators.

            Hello Garth,
a nice comprehensive collection of boards .
Just a quick question, did at some point the admin and field division branches share the same green waffenfarbe?

            Patrick.

              Patrick,
The shades of green, fundementally, would be light green-Air Traffic Control; medium green-Field Divisions and dark green-Administration officials. That being said the medium and dark greens can be awfully close depending on dye lots, aging, etc. The field divisions would use the standard LW ranking system of gulls and wreaths for officer with only one color on the boards with no secondary underlay color. The EM/NCO ranks would use the ranking system of metal gulls. The Admin used a system of wreaths and triangles with differant edging on the tabs for differant career levels. Hope this answers your question,
              Garth

Hi Garth, you have put together an impressive collection of some hard to find tabs and boards.

                Cheers, Ade.
