Original NCO tresse ? Original stitched ?

    Hello all,

I need your help about this NCO tresse on my M43 SS tunic.

First question, is a good original tresse ?

Second and last question, if original tresse, is it original stitched to the tunic ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards

    Dimitri D.

Can you show the sewing on the backside of the collar?

It is hard to say if the tresse is put during or post war.
The best identification are pics with the owner wearing exactly this tunic.

In anny way for me they looks more post war.

            Cheers,

Can't really tell when applied, but I think it it neatly stitched, original tresse and if no glow under UV, leave it and find a nice pair of collar tabs... I have no problem with it.

The tresse is original, I can not say you if original applied without having it in my hands.

                      Hello
IMHO , while the tresses are nice original , they appear to have been applied at some point in time after 1945 , just my opinion based on the way the tresses are "sitting" on the wool .
Tunic looks like a good candidate for a proper restoration .
                      Regards
