        Toby,

Your badge looks like a good one to me. I can't find the repro example I had but did see one at the SOS. It wasn't even close to yours; depth and detail of the stitching, material, etc. Nice find, mate. Garth

          Toby,

I had one a while back (few years) and it looked very much like yours, the thing I recall is the angled stitch on the oval, it looks like the metal oval on the enameled badge I also owned. I sold mine on ebay in 99 for just under 300US as I recall so it is still worth at least that, IMO

            Garth and Dave,

Thanks to you both for commenting. I've also e-mailed the Zeppelin museum in Friedrichshafen, to see if they can say anything about the badge.

And here's a picture, forum member 'John Doe' brought to my attention. Apparently, it is listed on Snyder's site - doesn't look good to me.

Garth - was this like the one you saw at the SOS?

            Thanks again.

            All the best,
            Toby.

              Toby,

Snyder's badge looks differant from the one I saw at SOS. The one I saw was made of a lighter colored grayish material with thinner edge stitching.
