    Stone Mint I.G. Waffenrock

    Gents,

In my humble opinion, one of the most Stunning Waffenrock's to "surface" since the end of WWII. This uniform represents the highest quality tailoring which could be privately purchased during the period of the Third Reich.

The insignia is spectacular and represents a quality I have yet to have seen on any previous Waffenrocks I have examined. The breast eagle is the best I have ever seen on a uniform from the Third Reich. You will notice that the cuff branch backing is uniquelly cut and the placement of the "Im General Stab" herringbone insignia.

The uniform is without tailor's label or "Namenetiket".

Although I cannot prove without a doubt, I have reason believe that this uniform belonged to a General and RK recipient as the "named" visor is from the same source.

    Enjoy, especially Mike H!

    MIKE

      Superb!

      Very nice indeed.

I especially like the cut on the cuff tabs, which follows the shape of the litzen.

      Very nice.

Anyone who knows me a little bit, knows that this is the most fascinating WWII branch of service to me. You see ten Generals for every single one of these --- simply gorgeous.

I also find the cut of the cuff litzen very interesting. It's a perfect excuse for me to post a picture of the litzen on my Waffenrock next to my latest GS find, some unfinished OKH/OKW cuff litzen for the Waffenrock for comparison.

Mike, I think we deserve to see more of the visor Kurt

                Gents,

Thanks for all your kind comments. However, have to disagree with Kurt, the ratio is more like 100 to 1!

As requested, I.G. "Double EREL" from same source. The original Heeres KleiderKasse shipping box is addressed to an I.G. officer and soon to be General Officer and RK recipient.

                Enjoy,

                MIKE

I have to agree that the General Staff, OKH, and OKW are the most beautiful parade dress tunics. I have always wanted an OKH with the gold insignia.

My favorite tunic, the "brains" of the military.

Be nice to have the name in the item that is tagged, especially being then an Oberst i.G. (not I.G., small point)

What a great set! I love the General Staff uniforms, and in my humble opinion, the General Staff Waffernrocks are one of the rarest uniforms out there to find, CONGRATS!!!!!!
