To me it looks like a 1920s-30s art deco Women's pin etc. This type of hardware was used on many things. Unless it came in a box with other WWII items I do not think there is a reason to assume it is military or German.

I think he's right. Might be something like ...a haleys comet pin, seems every time it comes around they make more pins to sell depicting it. Pin is germanic as you can tell in hinge and hook design(also previously stated). I also do not feel its a decoration , the only other thing i can say is ...some submarines had wierd emblems they had made to wear, and even painted on their boats, or made and attached. Unless you find that in a sub photos somewhere of a U boat,in the future ... im sticking to this opinion. But like a lot of things , we may never know for sure. Throw it into a drawer if its yours, and maybe some day you'll find out for sure. Worse thing that can happen is you get rid of it, and then someday find out what it really was, and possibly have some regret. No marks on it I guess, and not gold ?

It looks somewhat familiar. I have several Reichsbahn related insignia and a few communications related look similar.

                Hello
It could be anything , civilian , divisional insignia , U-Boote ???? . Does not look like a women broche .
                Who knows ...

To me it looks like some "funker" or electrician pin... German made to me, would keep it for display.

Looking at it more closely I suspect it may actually be a Native American design. It was found in the middle of the US, like I siad unless it was with something indicating it is German I would assume it is not.
