Soldier wearing a 1st pattern drillich wrap

    Hello,
this portrait was recently sold in e-bay: to mr it looks a 1st pattern Hbt wrap.
    What do you think?

    Hi Gustavo,

It looks a little too light colored to be made from HBT. Notice the field gray wool behind the sleeve shield, it is darker than the surrounding material. I would imagine it is a first pattern mouse gray denim wrapper. Too bad the tabs and breast eagle aren't shown in detail, still a nice photo.

Hard to tell but I don't think its HBT either. The Mouse Grey wraps even when unissued, tend to be lighter in Black/white pictures. I believe it could be a Grey Green denim wrap myself.Jim

          Jim,

That is a distinct possibility as the mouse gray are really light colored. I forget about the gray green denim wraps. Thanks for bringing them up.
