    TR period navy jacket?

I aquired this as part of a lot of km items a few years ago, the trousers I posted the other day. They are rbnr stamped and original late war, IMO.
Is this jacket a WWII KM pea jacket? Is it pre TR or early km, or is it post war?

You can see it had collar tabs and a sleeve chevron, but there is no clear sign of an eagle having been removed. There are no lables or stamps inside, and it has a single interior pocket and the jacket is lined in a wool type material. It has the correct sort of collar construction, with zigzag stitching.
It has two areas of damage, which have old looking repairs. This is the area where another pair of buttons might have been placed, but there are no button holes in the lapels.

Thanks for any comments and opinions, JerryB

Although it might just be the photographs, I don't like the lining or the color.

      Greetings Jerry,

I am definately not a navy guy! The color seems like a lighter blue than I am used to but I think that this is due to camera flash. If you can get a shot in daylight that might help.
I like the cut of the collar and the construction of the underside of it also, but remember the 1st sentence.

The lining didn't like to me either... Always in KM jacket is in dark blue wool... Attention, because the marine jackets was very similar among the war marine of the whole world... Often the difefrence are very small... You have to check every time the verse of the buttons (that could have the early writing 'Reichmarine', or 'Kriegsmarine'), the lining (always in dark blue wool), and the proof (BAK or BAW, printed in white on the wool, or black on the sleeve liner)... Obviusly every shadow of breast eagle is a good point of start!

        Hope this help!

        Cheers!

The colour is a very dark navy blue and it is the flash, especially in the close ups that make it look a paler blue. The lining is a blue/grey colour, and the flash has made it look a bit pink.
          Thanks, Jerry

If a real peacoat someone put the tabs on the wrong side. Also KM tabs were more square(rectangular)

                Some more pics

The coat is nearest in colour to the pic with the button.
Also note above the chevron on the left sleeve looks, it to have an oval patch ghost as well.
                If not TR KM, what?
                Thanks, Jerry
