    Kriegsmarine Deck Jacket and Shoes

I am interested in getting these up on Collector's Guild. They look fine from what I see in my references. I am putting it to the experts here. I don't need any repros, much less Pakistani ones. I've been burned before on the shoes.

Let me know, I would be glad to hear from you!

Here are the links for the two items....

        Shoes

That is the second pair of those type of shoes that Peter has had in the last year I believe. I am curious, with them being olive drab in color, was that standard issue for the KM or were these for tropical use?

I couldn't find where there was more than one version of this type. I would expect some slight manufacture differences. They seem so brand new to me, though, and the Eagle M is not a slam dunk for verification. Fakers can pop those up on leather without much effort.

I'm curious for a KM expert's opinion on the color of the deck jacket. I have seen the long deck coat in black and pale blue, but have been unable to locate any information on this green/grey version. I've seen KM rain gear in a similar color shade, but not this type of jacket. Thanks for any info

I will let those with their collections tell the story as well. As far as I can tell, the Green/Gray is common. See the one referenced above in an earlier post. I also have an Engineering jacket and pants that are the same colour.

I see the same color on the items in the links posted, but these are not pictures of the same type of long deck coat in question.

Seems to me that the leather coat cost pretty much... Nice and good, indeed..

                    Cheers!

I'm not saying it's not good, but I have been unable to find another one like it (color-wise) in other threads, books or period color pics.

I think that could be also the light fault... The original gray colour could be turn off to the greenish...

                          Cheers!

There is a slight light fault, I've seen this same jacket in person and the jacket is a tad darker, but looks pretty much as it does in the photo. I saw the Angolia reference also, but like I said, I cannot seem to find an example of another one just like it. I'm sure someone must have one in their collection.
