    Opinions on these eagles ...

Need some learned opinions on these eagles that were offered to me.

The first off is a Dutch eagle - scarce version. they have also been highly faked. is this a good one?

    and the rest as well.
Of these, no 1 and 3 look questionnable.

    thanks guys.

The first one is actually Flemish (from Belgium)...
The bird is the "VNV" Political party (pro Germanic Dutch-Flemish movement) emblem.
Its intended for a cap (peaked cap and wedge cap) of the VNV organized "Vlaamsche Fabrieks Wacht"...
Which is the Flemish version of the German Factory Guard.

    Example in this link:
    http://www.nieuweorde.be/blog/wp-con...g_9646_opt.jpg

I guess it could easily be confused with the Dutch "Jeugdstorm" youth movement albatros,
but its definately Flemish not Dutch! If its real I would not know...
The prongs look weird but with these foreign made (non German manufactured) items its hard to tell!
I agree the last eagle looks 'iffy'.......

Nick, thank you your kind input.
As I was not supplied with a better pic of Flemish eagle and its reverse, its very hard for me to ascertain its authenticity. whats your take on it? good?

as for the 2nd, it looks okay to me - but i'd like more opinions.

the 3rd one - i'll probably pass on it. looks not right.

I agree the middle bird has the best chance. I'll run the Belgian eagle by some Flemish collectors and see what they say!

An advanced Flemish collector (also WAF member) saw the thread and informed me that the prongs on
this Flemish Factory Guard cap eagle are not consistent with the standard Belgian made ww2 ones...
Probably not a good sign...who knows...
