    Sleeve shield identification

Attached is a crop from a color slide I acquired recently; it is most probably from a soldier from Kraftfahr-Abteilung 562 - southern Russia, 1943. The soldier wears a nice yellow (orange) - black sleeve shield, which is not known to me.

Hope this photo is interesting to some of you members.

    Hello Akira

    Thank you for this picture.
Actually i'm interested in seeing the other slides from the group.
I have a small Kuban grouping of a Gefreiter from the Stab of this unit. The group consists off: documents for Kuban shield and KVK II with swords and the medals, a day pass for Paris and a pictures of the soldier.

Here is some more information about the unit: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=322015

    Best regards

Thanks for sharing, a nice set!

So the sleeve shield might possibly be Ost-, Türkish- or Gefangene- related?

Can I assume that it is not a known type of sleeve shield? Unit local stuff, or some non-military stuff?

Excellent photo Akira, thank you for posting! I agree with Cosimo - this indeed looks like a Ukrainian national - blue/yellow shield and yellow tabs. Could be one of the members of Ukrainian companies attached to bigger German units. Would it be possible to see the whole slide?
