                It looks like and original Army M43 upgrade that has been restored and at one time had most likely fake SS Latvian insignia glued on to it and sewn. The collar tabs are army type.

                  Agreed. It is an original tunic, but the wear and nap loss under the spot where the sleeve eagle would have been indicates that it was likely "upgraded" to SS sometime after the war.

                  Three belt hooks; it's a Army tunic, and looks like the insignia was restored. Nice piece!

                    theres no doubt the tunic itself is 100% good. I can spot a real "St.43" marking anywhere. I also agree the SS insignia were garbage. I dont like that oval above the eagle head. thats a no go right? so its safe to assume the Heer eagle was added after the SS eagle. otherwise that would just be stupid of the sewer. Glenn
