    unissued M36 tunic

    Hello Gentlemen,
I thought I would share another recent find, an unissued M36 tunic. It is dated 1939 and has the universal einheitslitze machine sewn onto dark green badge cloth, which are then machined onto the color. It is a relatively large size, explaining why it watched the war from the sidelines. It came with the unissued infantry shoulderstraps as well. The breast eagle is factory hand sewn. Except for a couple of minor moth bites, it looks like it is right off the factory shelf!
    Thank you,
    Curtiss

That is one outstanding tunic! Very difficult to beat the M36 pattern tunics in terms of detail and materials, and yours looks like a classic piece. Congratulations!

                Hi Curtiss

It is a very nice tunic. I just have a question. Is the color of the liner similar to the one seen in the photo? I know that sometime the color on the digital photo may not be acurate. I would love to se a photo of the tunic and liner with natural light.

                regard

                Juan

                  Hi Juan,
Yes, the picture is fairly accurate as to the color of the lining material. I will see if I can take a picture outside tonight if the weather (..and my kids) will cooperate.
Thank you all for the kind comments,
                  Curtiss

                          Hello Juan,
Here is a picture in natural (evening) light showing the lining, maybe not quite as much mustard color as in artificial light.
                          Thank you,
                          Curtiss

Very nice...definitely the classic tunic when you think of the typical heer soldier. Was there a large quantity found so we can all have one? Congratulations,

                              Richard
