The eagle on this tunic is a reproduction.The collar tabs are for a Gebirgsjaeger/Jaeger officer and the shoulder boards are for a Panzergrenadier officer. The shoddy, or bad, application of the insignia to this tunic Makes me think that it was done post war by an individual not familiar with insignia.

The collar liner looks to be from the east german army.

Can you get some other pictures of under the collar where the collar tabs are, on the inside of the tunic behind the eagle, and on the inside of the tunic of any markings? They would help.What would also help is if you could get clear pictures of the front and backs of the medals and post them on the appropriate forum.

With the other pictures it will be helpful to figure out a good price for the entire lot. I hope it turns out well for you.

I don't think you need to worry about this. Based on what I am see the "Old Vet" is holding all the cards. The awards look right on and very nice. I would forget about the tunic.

Another oddity about the army tunic...check out how low the bottom button is. Well past the lower pocket flaps. It's obviously been added along with the button hole.

This black tunic belongs also to the old man. I made all pictures at home of this man. Normally I would buy this black tunic and thanks a lot at all opinin here I will cancel this deal!
And because of the tunic with medals I will think about if I buy or not. If I buy then to a very moderate price. More than 300 Eur I wouldn´t pay.

That black . . .thing, is fantastic! It looks like someone's kid turned a swedish tunic and made it something somewhat resembling an SS uniform out of some 70s Nazi-exploitation film for an on the fly halloween costume! What I want to know is what a Stalingrad vet would be doing with such a "piece."

Why would an 89 Yrs old Stalingrad vet Have a black monster like that anyway???I dont think after the war he had the willing to play with tunics and build something stupid like that knowing anyway how real tunics were .....sounds strange...
