    Issue breeches Army or SS?

I picked these up yesterday. They are issue breeches but I have never seen this cut before with Army clothing. The other odd thing is the rear pocket is on the left. I was told this is seen sometimes with issue breeches but the flairs do not look like issue breeches I have. The stamps are not legible only enough to see there were size stamps and depot/date as well as a maker. Thanks

Rear, They have not been modifed and appear to be as made in the factory aside from zippers being added to the legs.

      John,

Can you post a pic of the markings? I know you said they're faint, but worth a look if not too much trouble. Also, is there any reinforcing material in the butt/crotch area? I've seen a pic of an officer walking in the field with an Mp-40 wearing a pair of breeches that literally droop down right to the top of his boots. These look like the cut and lack of rigidity in the cloth that would do the same thing. Personally, from what I see so far I like 'em. Are there any markings on the zipper pulls? As for Army or SS, IMO they could be either, but I generally attribute anything with a depot/date to the Heer rather than W-SS.

      Regards!!

      Bob

Thanks, I already packed them away. I looked after I posted and there was no definate Depot stamp all you can see is the rectangular arrangement for size stamps.
