    Salty Oberfeldveterinar Tunic

This is one of my favorite tunics and is very rare in that there the Veterinary officer was in the Army before the War and is in the 1939 Ranglist. Dr. Schroeder served with the 3rd Kav. Rgt. in Gottingen and then was transfered to the 21st Artillery Rgt. when the cavalry units were reorganized as motorized Recce. This tunic is dated 1937 when Schroeder was an Lt. and appears to have been worn all the way through the War.

I am surprised that no one has commented on this wonderful item!! Congrats! I have not seen a Veterinarian tunic with such a high rank before.

            Hello

I would be interested by a picture showing the back of the collar.

            Thank you !

It is back in storage. Not sure what you would expect to see or why you would ask to see that.

                Great tunic!
If you will let it go sometimes, remember me.

I think the salty ones speak much more than the mint depot/closet queens sometimes. Awesome tunic!

I wish I could get his service records but Medical/Vet records do not seem to be at NARA.

Ok no problem ; it was just to educate myself ; I try to see lot of sewing details on nice tunics to learn, that's just it.

It is handsewn to the body but is fragile. You can see the damage on the top edges of it. I do not want to fold it up to photgraph it.
