    Transport Officer's Tunic

Just bought this tunic, I guess it's private purchase (Italian material?) , comes with a picture that's supposed to be the officer, worn but has a nice look to it!

The boards look like they are TSD, the eagle is most likely resewn. Can you post a clear image of the officer and also pictures of the tunic interior. It looks like there are vent holes under the arms? This may be a post War tunic.

The officer in the picture is wearing a tunic with dark green collar, and M36 style officers tunic, so its different to what you have. Your tunic is a nice one too, i think maybe the eagle is re-applied.

I realize the picture shows him in a different uniform, it's supposed to be him but who knows, it would be nice if it is!

with the open collar, vent holes and fabric color, I also might suspect this tunic to be postwar police..

Better pictures would be needed but I share the concern that this may not be an original wartime jacket.

This is also what I think the tunic is. The way the photo is burned it looks like it was done with several small flames on different sides probably a lighter.

He is an older officer probably with WWI service and is wearing a cross strap so the photo probably shows him in the mid 1930s. I would expect a higher rank than Ob.Lt. during the War. The boards should be the color of the tabs.

Are there any stamps in the jaket of anything blacked out in ink or cut out?
