    Heer Don summer Drillich jacket

    Hello,

Can anybody tell me what this jacket really is? It is made of a kind of supple drillich cotton. It has 2 belt hooks attached to it with 3 holes in the back for the belt hooks. Apart from the Don shield it has a Heer eagle attached to the front. Markings on the inside are the number 12 and a stamp with a crown (?). Perhaps Russian capture? Thanks for opinions, also on the origin.

    Regards

That type of fabric is very common for light weight uniforms. I would suggest posting it in the International Militaria section, someone may know what the base tunic is.

This appears to be constructed from linen, not cotton.

Nice tunic, but funny looking shield... In my view suspect...

The shield also gives me concern. It looks much like one made on a computer operated embroidery machine.
