    Strange Pz wrapper

    Hi,
Got this photo today together with some other Sturmgeschutz photos.

The jacket is identical to a Pz wrapper, just in camo. Which units used such units ?

Se more photos from the lot: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=1#post3289639

    Regards
    Alex

    Alex,

Are there more photos of this guy in that outfit? If not, this could be a post war photograph of a civilian IMO...

That is the vibe I am getting as well. Lots of people wore surplus military clothing immediately after the war.

        Hi,
can't say if the photo was shot before orr after May 1945.

I just wonder, if the jacket was made after May 1945? I can't believe that some made a camo panzer wrap in suplus material after May 1945 or were these camo panzer jackets actually in use during the war?

If it was made after the war, why would he have it made as a panzer wrapper????

I think war time made and used as a civilian garment after the war. Cool photo.....

I concur with the above, being that this picture was most presumably made in the immediat after-war period, with a wartime-made Feldjacke being worn.

Such an item would have been "field- or tailor-made" though.

Nice photograph, thanks for showing it.

There are plenty of splinter panzer wraps, what is the question? Is it Luft splinter maybe?
