Gebirgsjäger Obergefreiter ?s

Hi Guys,

I bought this Gebirgsjager Obergefreiter soldbuch recently and I have a few questions. Please excuse my newness and the silly questions.

1. Am I correct in thinking that this man would have an Edelwiss on his right sleeve and not sprigs?

2. Can someone show me a color picture of what this mans shoulder boards and collar litzen would look like?

3. On his left sleeve he would have the V rank with 2 v's and, the back ground color for the rank should be a greenish color?

I know black is ss and gray is luft, but i've only seen those two colors, for the rank.

Last night I went through 20 some odd pages on the forum and couldn't find any thing to help my questions. Any help would be huge, and much appreciated.

You can go through this thread and see many examples of different types of chevrons for all branches. Army used a dark green the color of the sohulder obards in the first link and later a backing the color of tunic cloth-field gray.
