    Re GFM Tunic

    Hi Mike,

    But still nice though.
I wonder what a genuine one would cost to buy.

Some very nice tunics in this thread.

Here are my favourits from 2008.

LWFD splinter jacket with original eagle
LW NCO flieger bluse with original eagle
LW NCO tropical tunic with original eagle
LWFD sumpf jacket which looks it never had an eagle at all.

      regards Erwin

        Hello,
Here are my two favourites for 2008, two heavily faded '41 dated 1st pattern tropical tunics. The NCO tunic has been completely stripped of insignia including the NCO tress from around the collar. I do intend upon restoring it to it's former glory and have found all of the pieces that I need to do so including a beautiful pair of early tropical Oberfeldwebel PzGren shoulderstraps. The tunic is id'd to a Oberfeldwebel who served in North Africa as an Infantryman, so I took this to be a Rifle Regiment.

            Hello

What is that trade patch sleeve emblem for, I always thought they were for ground crew?

                  Update!
My last buy of 2008 arrived, a nicely marked 'Peek & Cloppenburg' EM's tropical greatcoat (standard 1940 pattern). Very nicely worn with the soldiers initials on the twill liner. After this, 2009 will have to be a quiet year
                  Regards,
                  Mark.

                        Jacques my friend,

Remember when you were young and you used to get that reaction around pretty girls? I'm glad at your age that there is still something out there that excites you. Anything arrive in the mail from sunny California yet?

                            Thanks Tony (& Jerry!)
In answer to a query, the shoulder strap loops and buttons have been removed, but the sewing lines are still visible. All the other buttons are period sewn ('F&Co' marked) and the small rear skirt and collar buttons are blue glass.
