    GFM devices

Would any of you lucky chaps with known original GFM boards post photos here of the devices? Photos of known repros would be appreciated too. (Yes, yes, if you must know, I have one coming and want to have something to compare it to. )

    Hello Dave,
Here is a pix of a repro feldmarschall device, and not a real great one at that. It is actually made of cast brass, and covered with silver paint, part of which has flaked off. I hope you post a picture of your real one when you get it. As I understand, there is an early style (from the 1930s, as would have been worn by von Blomberg), and a later style. This repro one I've posted would be later (wartime).

      Dave,

Of course I do not own such rare items, but I have saved a picture from Hermann Historica's website of GFM Milch's boards, although these are too small to really distinguish them...

I hope that this might help you anyway.

      Ciao,

      Claudio

These things are, apparently, rare - or else those of you who have them are afraid to let it be known, lest the Sebatron pay you a visit.

Anyway, the (crappy) photo below is the best I've been able to find. The one I have coming should be here in a week (Canadian post still using dog sleds).

                Dave,

Go to the Marshalls Baton website and you will see all the close up photos you need. Mike is also a member here. His main collecting interest in General officer and GFM items.

Does any one know where one might get reproductions of the Blomberg-style batons?

                  Thanks,

                  Mike
