Tank Officer Breast Eagle?

Hi gang,




I got this piece lately, it came with a tank officer´s grouping, but I´m not sure about its color, is there a way to determine the color of this piece? In the sunlight it appears to have a very little dark-greenish tone in it, but on the other hand there is no green near the direct stitches of the eagle, this color is clearly black. Also the back is black.


So what do you think, a black tank officer eagle, or the "ordinary" Heer/Wehrmacht eagle? Is there any way to find it out?

Any info is highly appreciated!

OK, I took it outside and created a pretty dramatic picture...



But now I´m sure it is a black panzer officer breasteagle.

I would judge this as a standard Heer officer eagle with a very dark green backing fabric. I would expect a Panzer eagle to be very black with no hint of green.

But somehow I´m still into believing it is a black one, the grouping it came with is in my opinion a very believable one. But who knows, maybe I´m still a bit in denial...
