SS Uniform Device???

I'm not sure what this is, but thought you could help me identify it before I put it on the e-stand (if I can figure out how to do that!).

This is the only one like it that I have.

Edged weapons are not my area by a long shot but I think that that is the pommel for an SS sword.... Perhaps list this in the edged weapons forum for the real experts?

It's the endcap or pommel from an SS NCO's sword.
