What is weird about the tag?

It looks to show more wear than the trousers.

I think the tag shows more wear because its made of some sort of canvas with something over it (rather like plaster bandage), which would obviously wear quicker than the material. Also the ink has worn off again due to where the label is.
Just noticed to, the top of the label is actually sewn under the top waist band, which would almost mean it was put there while being made.
