    My Latest Waffenrock Addition

This beauty arrived this morning! This Panzer der Spiess went all out on the upgrades. It does not have a tailor's or owner's lable. Matter of fact...it has no unit acceptance stamps either. Enjoy!

Snort..... That belongs in my bunker. Panzer waffenfarbe and upgraded cuff & collar tabs - would kill two of my remaining birds with one stone.

              Wanna sell it........

Thanks for the comments. Except for two pin size holes and a little moth tracking on the front lower panel, this baby would be flawless. I just love the upgraded cuff and collar tabs.

Can anyone provide me with any information on the 15th Panzer Anti-Tank Regiment? I would greatly appreciate it.

                        Thanks

The 15th Anti-Tank Btl was part of the 15th Inf Div. A summary of this division is as follows: Assembled in 1935-36 from troops in the Main-Franconia area; later Austrian troops were added. Initial employment in Russia, 1941. Returned to France until Stalingrad fell, then immediately transferred to the 4th Panzer Army in Russia. Summer of 1944 it escaped encirclement but required rebuilding, never regaining full strength. Surrendered near Prague in April 1945.

Your waffenrock is certainly a handsome example. It displays a typical tailoring error as according to regulations the tress should cover the upper part of the cuff tabs. Nobody seemed to be very concerned about this as it is an often encountered error.

                              Tim,

Thank you for the information on the 15th Anti-Tank Btl.

I agree with you on the tailoring errors with the tress and the cuff tabs. Interestingly enough, I have seen more NCO tunics with these errors than not.
