Army Official Collar tabs for a Pharamcist

Here is a pair of collar tabs that arrived at my door about 2 hours ago: This is a pair of Army Official High Grade Career collar tabs piped in light green for a Pharmacist.

      Apotheker,

These I should imagine are pretty rare even including those pharmacists who were reservists. On checking through the Rangliste I find that as at 1st May 1939 they were only 87 active Heeresapotheker ranging in rank from one Ministerialrat (Oberst) down to a dozen a.p. Stabs-Apotheker (supernumerary captains) and a further 737 reserve Apotheker ranging in rank from Oberstabs-Apotheker der Reserve (Major) to Feldapotheker der Landwehr (Leutnant), all in the high grade career.

      Regards
      Glenn

I have a buddy who's got a MIDGET (and I mean MIDGET!--we tried and an 11 year old couldn't squeeze into it) sized M1936 tunic with these, rank of "Major" with the ugliest freak breast eagle I've ever seen. If I can ever get a digital camera again, will try and photo it, or maybe get scanner closeups of the insignia the next time he's over here. Tunic's in grubby untouched condition, rather beat.

This particular Tiny Pill Pusher had no ribbon bar, and only a KVK ribbon in his buttonhole, so apparently called out of civilian life at an exalted level.

I didn't have the specific numbers on how many Heeresapotheker's were walking around, but I knew it wasn't very many. I have a full set of collar tabs and shoulderboards for a Stabsapotheker, but I picked up this set of collar tabs because they are in such great shape.

Rick - I'd love to see that tunic when you get a chance to photograph it.
