I am researching the insignia on Kriegberichter uniforms. The insignia seems to change through the war:
Pre 20/3/40 thin shoulder straps with uniform as per soldiers arm of service prior to taking up reporters position
21/3/06 to 6/12/42: Special Sonderführer insignia, altpreussisch collar tabs and officer style shouder boards shot through with balck and red threads
7/12/42 onwards revert to earlier insignia
So the questions are:
1) Is the above correct?
2) Is the Waffenfarbe used in early and late war the colour of the arm from which the soldier came from or the light grey of the propaganda troops?
