    Help IDing Uniform

Any ideas as to which branch this guy belonged to? His boots, belt and holster remain in their natural, undyed state. It's interesting to note the light colored cap and breast eagles and buff colored buckle. The two place ribbon bar appears to be an WWI EK2 and KVK w/ swords.

Maybe the studio stamp on back might be of some help...

Looks like Infantry seargent by the piping on his cap. Very early pic I think. M-34 style wedge cap. Looks like he grabbed the belt out his old kit for the photo. Transitional period photo?

Yes, it looks like a infantry NCO, may be CAV? The tunic is a early one, with the grey and white cotton breast eagle.

          Bill & Steve,
Thanks for your replies. I agree, it's an early image no doubt. Looks like it a brand spanking new uniform to boot. What about the leathers? Why are they not dyed?

Steve- All the way! I was with the 82nd from '91-'93. Are you with the 2nd Ranger battalion?
